Dog re: They had a net profit of $65M on about $1.5B in sales. That translates to a little better than 4% net - not earth-shaking but not bad especially for the segment.

For a $500 machine they made $21! Very impressive and plenty of room for a Christmas demand miscalculation from their business model of forecast then batch manufacture. All it would take is a 4% error.

If you would read more carefully, you would note that I used the term "significant profits". Also, given the malleability of CPQ's books even the 4% is arguable.

I am not spreading FUD, I am stating my genuine opinion.
In the past, my opinion of CPQ has been more accurate than yours.

In any event, I would not be beating the drum and playing trumpets as you have over their purported 4% profit.
