Howard Stern's program is listened to be millions of people across the country. A lengthy discussion of the TiVo machine here is probably the first time MANY of the people across the country have every heard of TiVo and the existence of such a machine. This has surely stirred much interest. I'm an investor and at some time in the future intend to be a purchaser of the device in the future. On another note... Many people say the one major negative about TiVo is that you can't put your Blockbuster rental tape in the machine. In response to that... one day you won't need to. You'll be able to dial up Blockbuster and have the movie downloaded (via cable or DSS)right onto your TiVo harddrive for viewing at your convenience (anybody notice a $30 million investment by AOL in Blockbuster?). This day will come and the video tape will go the way of the 8-track tape and the vinyl record album.
