Cable & Wireless (Nasdaq: CWZ), F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV), Network Appliance (Nasdaq: NTAP) The weight of two worlds rests upon the shoulders of this trio's network, which will be carrying pictures of the Mars Polar Lander starting tomorrow at noon Left Coast time. Network stress tests don't get any more muscular or high profile than this one: organizers expect more than 250 million hits for the Polar Lander website in the first few hours of operation.
Good technology showcase, if nothing else, which always helps marketing. Assuming it works -- hopefully network engineers have learned from the Mars Pathfinder website, which was very difficult to reach in the first few hours of transmission. 22GO
