losing $12,000 on a short position of CMRC.. was quite enough experience shorting such a winner overnight. I did learn a very valuable and profitable lesson because since then I've changed my long/short strategy and fine-tuned them. But I would rather have had a cheaper lesson. I'm wondering if you really can make a significant change in trading strategy without a loss like that. Sometimes winning too much you think you are 'unstoppable'. Then you need to get some perspective. I'm not sure I ever would have made that very crucial change without that loss.
