All, It looks as if the folks at Rambus are positive about the future... (an article with accompanying photo from the Los Altos Town Crier, 12/1/99, pg 50) "City officials and developers meet for an official groundbreaking Nov. 12 on property formerly occupied by the Tree Farm. A residence inn and office space are planned for the site. Pictured from left are: Nancy Kumar of Taisei Construction (the contractor); Peter Pau, managing member of the Tree Farm property ownership; Los Altos Councilman Lou Becker; Mayor John Moss; Ed Larsen with Rambus, Inc., the tenant for the office building; and Los Altos Councilman King Lear." a) It sounds like they might be outgrowing their current three-story (albeit still fairly small) facilities. Good news. b) I'm not sure where the Tree Farm was. Any locals have any idea? (I believe it might have been along San Antonio Road) c) Councilman King Lear is the perfect example of why hospitals should have veto power over the naming of new children. Or maybe why patricide should be legal in certain, narrow circumstances <G>. Dave
