Nice day.. 3 more 'hits' our ADI and ADCT, ADI was "stock of the day" FFTI was also "stock of the day" when it hit a 52 week high BEFORE earnings came out. NAVI triggered nicely yesterday and was up today before pulling back. fnews.yahoo.com Our earnings play ADCT soars after a great earnings report, and upgrades galore. This is the beauty of the earnings play.. When they are correcting and then the report comes out: BOOM you get a runaway day. It gapped up 3 but is now up over 9. Lately I've been picking up a few earnings plays that did not really trigger but are in a small correction after long term uptrend. It's not a great strategy and I use is sparingly, but its worked lately. I played about 75% of the earnings plays for the past two weeks. I played all the earnings plays for December 1 and all but #3 for december 2.. Now I'm in 3 already for next week/s.. I rarely hold longer than 1-4 days before earnings and usually buy back a few days AFTER earnings trying to hold even longer. ADCT has been an earnings play for 5 quarters. But one black October when the market tanked about 700 points I lost my ADCT option.. Since then I never buy options in ADCT (25 calls) only the stock. Guess its just reminds me of that time. zdii.com
