Thanks for the insightful post. I just went to mywebos.com and was shocked at the high quality of the product. I think you are really on to something here--please keep posting. I am very long ATHM and have suffered some bruises this year, but I will never let any go until this broadband thing plays itself out . . .

I don't agree about the killer app. The killer app often kills you putting it together. It's the home run psychology of the trader. Get the big one and get out. Big companies can't operate like that. They have to make incremental improvements on their core business and keep their eye on the ball to hit singles.

Getting involved with productivity apps is futuristic. ATHM must work with what they have rather than chase after windmills. The Excite exercise demonstrated what not to do. I suggested that Excite enable other companies to be able to use the ATHM network with their own techniques and solutions. This way ATHM doesn't get lost. ATHM can provide the environment so that other companies can leverage the ideas you suggest. Trying to put that all under one roof is too much.
