hey Twister, Charles and JC have you running around like a titmouse under the christmas tree - 100 new messages - another exciting night on SI!

your economies of scale argument is tired - all the System vendors who choose to become captive to Wintel only dig a hole for themselves. How would Sun benefit from becoming a Wintel "reseller"? - They can innovate off their own platform far faster than one controlled by MS and Intel especially given their inabilities to deliver any enterprise capability - they talk a good game but when are they going to Deliver - 1 year, 2 years - maybe Never!

were not only drinking coke, or using one airline, or one Desktop Operating System (woops...DOJ says otherwise). If Sun chooses to be #2 in a technology business that constantly offers companies opportunities to reinvent itself they should go for it - Wintel Resellers wont have that opportunity - Sorry if that bothers you. Ciao!
