Some Cherokees owned Negro slaves. The Cherokee Nation seceded from the U.S. Some interesting parallels to the State of Georgia. My ancestors too.

jbe. I am well aware of this History..you are very accurate. My
GG-Grandmother was the wife of an Irish Confederate Army Captain (damn ..those Irishmen get around ) She was a tiny Cherokee Indian Infant left to die in the wilderness and picked up by my GGG-grandparents.and on and on ;-)
