For a put your kid through college pick I like Tower Semicondustor(TSEMF) ... New products are on the way to returning this Israeili chip company to profitability ..$11 now and was $23 when they started re-designing the company.

However, now that suggestions are on the table, I would offer MRV Communications for your consideration. They have become in the last year the CMGI of networking. They are going to spin off the original MRV as Optical Access. They have a start up with products like Juniper but better and a start up with products like Redback but better. There is tremendous hidden value in this company. Look at the ridiculous valuations given to anything optical and look at Juniper and Redback. The stock action in recent weeks shows that the street is beginning to accumulate shares quietly. There is an excellent thread on SI. Read the posts by Sector and you will catch on quickly. It is my second largest holding but is one press release away from passing THQI (another gem) as my first. Best regards, Bob
