TerryD; re: BR & NBL

I should have expanded my comments earlier:

BR is the "short squeeze" - and a good one, yes, it was from both the arb position on the Poco acquisition, but also a strong short pureplay as a short proxy on nat gas price weakness here.

The big block today was someone on the fence of capitulation & was somewhat viewed as the last man falling - and hence; time to enter...

The play on NBL; is that a couple of major institutional players reportedly have dumped "approx" 3 - 3.5 M+ shares (approx 12-15 days trading volume) in the last qtr alone !" - which looks close per the marketguide link below; which is not livetime up to date of course.

I was told that- " these institutions reportedly not only want back in, but are coming back based on views that NG prices have bottomed and love the NBL story unfolding into 2000 and that they "trimmed" due to NG prices - not any lack of faith in the NBL story going forward." - but, rather simply that BR & NBL are both basically common stock proxies for Nat Gas.

NBL is going to fly very soon, this "money" is on record to coming back soon fwiw... a 2.5 to 3 M share move back in, will be quite a catalyst to a 200K volume per day stock.

Merrills "Quant" who was on CNBC is among many technical analysts who are carrying the "torch" for the Cyclicals & Oilpatch - going to be some major mo-mo once it starts; someone just needs to throw the first $Billion on the fire (VBG)...
