i am employing a strategy that allows me to keep timing to a minimum...in other words, i don't really care how long it will take. i estimate however that the limits of the mania will be reached by fall of next year the latest. that's just a gut feeling supported by some of the cycle work i'm following. otoh, i acknowledge the possibility that it could end anytime...which is why i always carry index shorts along that are hedged with calls. now and then i take the hedges off which has basically allowed me to incur no appreciable cost on them...that's the only timing i employ in this regard. under no circumstances do i plan to miss out on the BK.
