DS,

<< I propose that NAS may be a discontinuous technology, relative to SAN >>

You have my complete attention and interest with that statement, and as a matter of fact have whetted it with your excellent posts along the way.

I look forward to your presentation in support of that proposal (when and only when you feel it is ready and if you feel you can support that proposal). I know that you have already done a considerable amount of DD in this area. I confess that I have not and have been content to feel that as an investor I had storage space adequately covered by holding EMC.

I have been under the impression that neither NAS nor SAN are discontinuous innovations and one or both may be evolving to newer technology but this is an impression only and I am no more prepared to back that up than you are ready to present your case. I will certainly pay more attention to EMC technology in the near future than I have in the recent past based on your premise.
