Gibbons,
I am glad that you have reinstated Hal. However wouldn't it be much
simpler if your logon server disallowed subsequent logon attempts
once it considers you logged on.

I am now concerned that if I accidently leave my machine
at home connected and try to connect from the office,
that I may suffer the wrath of the exchanges.

I'm happy that issue was worked out with Hal. Once on a weekend I did much the same thing because I was swapping QCharts from one machine to another and was conducting a test across different indicators. It was so long ago I don't even recall the reason why I was doing it.

I specifically did it on a weekend because I presumed during RTH it would be a problem.

One thing I have had some problems with the last two days are charts that pull up blank. Other charts are running on the same screen yet the 10 minute, for example, has no data. Also, I noticed today that the server switched constantly late in the day....perhaps just before 3 Eastern....between stclara and jersey. The feed from each, possibly, were spotty. I run two other data feeds so it was quite noticeable as the other two had prices away from the market I had on QCharts.

Re-loading did not help, and once I was not even able to re-load. I had to kill it and re-load again for whatever reason.

Side question: Did you ever get the program to run on the G3 using the emulation? If so, I would like to invest in some DIMMs and give it another try. This machine is a PwrPC 9600/233, running OS 8.

If you had no luck, however, I may try to find a way to emulate Windows in a UNIX environment. Have you a suggestion on whether that would be feasible or not?

Question: is there a way to selectively delete symbols from the symbols list without deleting them all, such as View/Preferences/Workspaces and setting the value to zero.

Thanks,
Gary

Gibbons Burke: You seem to be over reacting a lot these days. You should not be taking your headaches out on your customers. After all, in the end we fund your paycheck, get my drift.

LG

Gibbons,

Thanks for coming to what I would call a rational decision in this matter. I want to apologize if I came across in a bad light either publically here or in my pmail....it was not intended and I probably should have allowed myself some time before writing to you....so I am sorry.

On to another issue. You are leaving QC?????? Say it isn't so!!!!

Thanks for all your help both here and in email and pmail. You have been a tremendous asset to the QC team and I am certain they are sorry to see you leave. I know I am.

Best of Luck in your future endeavors and if they include trading I hope you would join us on a thread of your choosing. I am not sure that I can offer you much in terms of advice or assitance given your background, but if there is anything I could do, don't hesitate to look me up.

Best Wishes.
