Well QCOM IPO shares wouldn't have cost much. If I had that kinda belief in a company and it cost little, one can think of holding thru a lean period....but holding a pricey share (over 100) for long without the required return becomes difficult - adds the opportunity cost to the trxn.

BTW, QCOM converted a very very strong bear friend of mine into a bull....and he almost but recovered his losses from shorting YHOO. So I guess theres something to be said of the stock !
