Tenchusatsu, re:<I'm saying that because the bug is so serious, the workaround must have already been implemented>

Background: I reported on Pentium III Errata #E46. "Snoop Request May Cause DBSY# Hang" See techstocks.com

Quoting from Intel's Processor Specification for the Pentium III Processor (Document):
"This erratum may occur on a system with any number of processors. However, the probability of occurrence increases with the number of processors. If this erratum does occur, the system will hang with DBSY# asserted. At this point, the system requires a hard reset.

Tenchusatsu states:
I'm saying that because the bug is so serious, the workaround must have already been implemented, or else we would have heard about this problem a while ago.

We DID hear about the problem a while ago: it was published by Intel in October (exact date unknown).

The November edition repeated that the bug was still a problem, i.e., it had not been solved, and said this: Workaround: It is possible for BIOS code to contain a workaround for this erratum.

The use of the word "possible" does not imply that correction of the bug has even been attempted, nor that the attempt was successfull, nor that all BIOS's in all PIII motherboards have had a BIOS revision to correct the problem.

Show me a motherboard web page with a BIOS fix for the Hanging System Bug.
