WHEN they get around to conducting the census in Woodside, Ca., they're going to have to wear sunglasses. The glare from the Internet star power is getting that bad.

Already home to billionaires like venture capitalist John Doerr and Oracle Corp. CEO Larry Ellison, the woodsy, horsy community of Woodside is now part-time home to Internet stock analyst Mary Meeker.

Meeker, managing director for Internet/New Media and PC Software Equity Research at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in New York, has purchased a home just down the narrow country road from the property where Ellison is building a roughly $135 million Japanese-style mansion.

Thanks to profiles in Fortune, Barron's and The New Yorker, Meeker is probably the best-known Internet stock analyst in the business. Her recommendations are credited with lifting the stock prices of Amazon.com, eBay, Yahoo! and America Online, and Dell Computer to record-breaking heights and beyond. Morgan can make markets in these stocks because Meeker moves them.

Thanks for that link Nick. He makes too much sense however.

On top of that did you read all the titles of previous articles. He's been looking for an end to the expansion for years and years.
