Let me remind people how to use gross margin.

Gross margin includes materials, labor, operating costs, etc, and depreciation cost. But it doesn't include Sales and General Administrative costs. And it doesn't include R&D costs. It also doesn't include interest, special charges, and most taxes.

So guys don't misuse the GM as some on the yahoo thread do sometimes. Take the Gross Operating Income and subtract these costs to arrive at a bottom line.
