Scumbria, <I made a post early in the year predicting that Sanders would end the year a hero, and Garrett would be the goat. I also seem to remember having a lot of ridicule heaped on me over this prediction.....;^) > I don't know if he will get the "hero" moniker but he does have a decent shot at going into business cases and stories on "focus" and how he rallied the company around a single battle cry. IMHO, that was probably the biggest thing that Jerry brings to AMD - undying dedication and focus in the midst of apparently unsurmountable challenges. It is not often that a second-tier company like AMD maneuvres around a 800-lb gorilla like Intel. Chuck

OT Scumbria, way to go! Good call, I wasn't into AMD then. But I've seen managers who come to a point in their career that what they think outweighs what someone else's facts may be. Intel is at this junction, and it will last a while longer. Dan found a name, it will be a long winter at Intel. You and your family get your new pair of shoes yet? Still eating well? :o) steve
