As a general comment I agree with the above statement.
I would point out that SDLI and ETEK although much smaller still offer the potential of another active and passive merger in the field. All this said others like LU and NT are anything but passive about expansion of their competitive offerings.

Cha2, yep.

Perhaps the guideline could be moderated for JDSU "to hold lightly tightly".

But until we can identify barriers to entry that cannot be overcome except by discontinuous innovation, we gotta call her a King.
