I believe what you're describing is a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement among IBM, Infineon and others.

I further believe that Infineon is the spinoff of the Motorola - Siemens 300mm R&D project.

Yes, MTSN supplied equipment to that project. IMO, as Infineon is the first company to have a profitable 300mm line, I further believe that this gives MTSN a leg up in supplying 300mm tools. Especially when compared with those companies that haven't had their 300mm products subjected to rigourous 3rd party testing.

... and especially relative to those that don't even have 300mm tools yet.
