Stan,

It's P/E is relatively low, ~ 25-30 or so, and therefore it is relatively undervalued compared with just about any of the other stocks we routinely discuss here.

Forget that you mentioned that about Intel. Apply similar valuation characteristics to any stock and the investor has to make a decision. Is the stock at a relatively low PE because the company won't grow as fast as those higher valued companies? Or is the stock at a relatively low PE because it's undervalued?

Oh how I long for the day of finding another Qualcom with a PEG of 1.0. Now THAT's value!

Uh oh. Stan nailed me when he spilled the beans that I discussed a value stock.

I wrote that we talked for a long time and never once discussed a stock or a company. I should have said he didn't do that. That was me who talked about Rainforest Cafe for a few minutes. But when was the last time you sat with a saavy investor and the only stock you talked about was the worst-performing loser in your portfolio? :)

Honest, the subject of QCOM never came up. Hard to believe, but true.

I hold Intel out of fear, not belief. The part of my portfolio based on my belief --on my vision of the future-- often scares me, not enough to turn back, but enough to hold microsoft, emc, intel, as hedge. Hey, at least I sold worldcom. I am getting there.
