Not a single one? Not even for a minute? All 30,000 were saints? You must still believe in the tooth fairy (just joking) Did the two groups you describe wear military costumes so you could always tell them apart? All the "good guys" couldn't have been wearing turtle suits.
What about all the people they inconvenienced? Would you like it if I and a few friends sat in your driveway and blocked your car on the morning of your most important meeting of the year?
I'm sure the majority of the protestors weren't criminal nor were the majority of the locals, but there were enough in both to make the whole thing a mess. To top it off, IMHO, the protestors are just on a completely wrong track, Luddites at the core, fighting for a lost cause that was wrong in the first place. Well, what makes this wonderful country work is diversity, and I thank you for sharing your views.

The labor rally/march was so wonderful and impressive, 30,000 people peacefully walking through the city

These 30,000 are what Lenin used to call "useful fools"

and then the thugs from Capitol Hill took over

Naah, the real "Thugs" never showed their faces. They are the militant Collectivists that organized and ran this event. Their real aim is socialism under one guise or another, and they will use any front groups available to advance their goal.

The people running this protest hate our freedom, its economic vehicle, Capitalism, and, if they had their way, none of us on these threads, who have risked our savings to make a buck, and by doing so, helped build this country, would have a dime to our names!

Lindy, thank you for opening my eyes. I now know that no person I saw here this week has any free will, and I should certainly not trust my own eyes and ears (as your vision from 1,000 miles away in LA, filtered though the infallible news media and AM talk radio hosts, is certainly much much keener than mine as an eyewitness). I suppose that is natural, considering that I now know that every one of those 30,000+ people was a deluded puppet, merely a pawn of a Militant Collectivist Socialist Evironmentalist Communist Vegetarian Conspiracy aimed at Smashing the State and Destroying Capitalism In All Its Forms (and probably promoting floridated water, too).

Certainly there's no possible hope that my direct observation of those people (which led me to the conclusion that they came from hugely diverse walks of life, had a wide variety of different opinions, different points of view, and quite varied potential remedies for their deeply-felt concerns) could be correct. No, it is a much simpler world than that. Every single one of them is part of a Monolithic Block of Economic Freedom Haters, and every single one of them is surely bent on destroying your right to personal property and will never stop until that goal is achieved.

If it is more comforting for you to believe that anyone and everyone who might disagree in any way with your economic point of view must be deluded, part of a vast left-wing conspiracy, completely against capitalism in any form (or all three) then I am certainly glad you now have achieved the financial resources to protect yourself from them.
