that's all well and good paul. but we are talking market share here. The fact of the matter is that only a tiny tiny % of COMMERCIAL WEB SITES are hosted by those two companies. Agreed? Good. So it stands to reason then that what matters TO THIS ARGUMENT is WHAT THOSE OTHER SITES are hosted on, right? And the answer to that SEEMS to be that many of them use Compaq and that 13% of them use sun.com.

You can not cite one Sunw customer installed sunw web server installation as representative of the internet.
You will have to do way better than that.

It is this kind of dis-information that leads me to say that Scotty will be shown to be another EP in due time.
