Interesting (and bearish) take on pcln-

"Meanwhile, Priceline's investors have to ignore the fact that the company's stock price has essentially been cut in half since it hit a high of $165 on April 30, 1999. And a bigger tumble may be on the way, says Gordon. "Some business models don't scale," he says. "Get big enough, and bigger companies will come along and squish you. Two years from now, will Delta need Priceline? Probably they could do this themselves, more efficiently and at a better profit. Priceline is just very easy to disintermediate. Suppliers don't need it, and their customers have no loyalty."

"It's very difficult to see how Priceline can sustain its market cap," agrees Phil Anderson, a professor of e-commerce at Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business. "Priceline just looks very vulnerable to me. "

-- Sounds like what I've been said a few times.
