Taikun: Price of Softbank in Jan-Sept 2002

I too, was (sort of still am) a skeptic with regard to the utility of TA. This is why I was so surprised at how well Softbank displays the "classical" signs of bouncing off a moving average. Of course 3 bounces do not mean that the 4th will occur as predicted. Still, I was impressed by looking at the 1 year chart.

Your comment is well taken - that charts are meaningless on the long term. Still, most of my money is tied up in Softbank (a far greater percentage of my portfolio than yours, I would wager), and some is in an IRA account that I would like to take out and play with shortly after a Softbank spike in order to diversify. I tried to do this to buy Hartcourt, and unfortunately was only partly successful. Came very close to being hugely successful, though.

I remain open minded to all different strategies of investing, including TA, although some of this can be appreciated from an intuitive look at the chart and volume, and is something we all are really doing in any case.
