DNA evidence can be gathered if it is present, Christine. As for the recovered memory cases, I refer you to Chris's response: techstocks.com Unfortunately, he is all too correct. Not only in the cases he cites but in others, notably one that the WSJ championed during the last couple of years. And it is happening now; that "terribly unfair era" is far from over. I cannot agree more with you that we need to be able to protect our children; I am sure that your recognize this. I am not convinced that registration and publication is the way to do it while recognizing the civil and human rights of a person to try to begin life anew. One can all too easily extend your argument about protection from predators to all known predators--burglars, for example.
