Also, what about the American drug companies selling identical drugs for vastly more expensive prices in America than they do in other countries. Do you think that is stealing of a sort?

Yes I do... its unethical and so is Nike. I was just reaching for an example of (for lack of a better term) corporate theft, that goes on every day as if there isn't anything wrong with it... maybe there isn't, I don't know, but its a judgement call. Loaning someone software in the office or using somebody else's ISP when the license agreement clearly states it is a one-user deal, etc. etc.

I heard recently of two friends on a vacation, one friend was seriously injured and the other friend gave her access to her HMO-card, since the injured girl had no health coverage... hmmmm, how wrong is that one? Is this a case to be prosecuted then?

This dialog came up when I dismissed stealing shoes at the vandalized Nike store in Seattle. In actuality, I was a little too dismissive of that, since I would say taking shoes from Nike in that instance probably fell more on the theft side vs. the ethics issues which are the counterbalance. There are some ethics involved though, being as its Nike. But whats amazing to me is an almost immediate reaction by the posters here that "theft is theft" - throw the book at 'em, etc. Where does that come from? Is it because I used the word teenagers in the sentence or something? Theft is NOT theft, at least as far as I can see... unless you apply it unilaterally....
