My plan for y2k is to get up New Year's Day and punch the power button on this magic box and see if it works. If it does, that's fine. If it doesn't, i'll take the plastic into town and get one that does. Maybe will anyway, this one's three years old, and now you can get four times the machine for half the money it cost. We have wood heat and a bush lifestyle, if the power goes out we have to pack water but not far. Life as normal, or close. Won't have much in the freezer, though, and i'm already systematically building the beer reserves.
