ASTN CEO on RULE 390:Sent: Thursday, December 02, 1999 12:08 PM

Subject: NYSE Off-Floor Trades

Dear Christine Geisser,

How will the elimination of "Rule 390" of the NYSE
affect Ashton?

Thanks,
Ashton Shareholder

-----------------------------------------------

Rule 390 was orginally Rule 394. In June of 1979 I testified in favor
of changes to this rule at the SEC. Later that year, the original rule
was modified. Since December 2, 1998, the SEC deregulated the market
with the new ATS Rules which were instituted on April 21, 1999. The
new rules obolishing rule 390; the expanding of links, NYSE IPO's, data
feed changes, etc. etc.

All is positive for us and I have planned for this.

Thank you for your support,
