Steve, I am technically in a good mood,

Imagine this, its 7:31 am, the phone rings,

The wife and I awakend from a sound sleep,

As my wife reaches for the ringing phone she spill a glass of water on the end table,

I grab a towel,

On the phone is my brother reading this press release,

what a beautiful way to start the day !

Another historic first,

I do not remember anyone else out there doing this

"By leveraging the intellectual property held by both GI and ACTV, television advertisers can now target commercials for their products and services to
the appropriate consumer audiences, providing unmatched value and accountability for their media dollars," said Richard Smith, Executive Vice
President, General Instrument. "At the same time, Digital ADCO improves the consumer experience by cutting through the plethora of television
advertising to deliver commercials that make sense for viewers based on individual household preferences."

<<"By leveraging the intellectual property held by both GI and ACTV,>>>

In other words, why advertise with wink or someone else who may be in our space ???

Advertise with the owners of the intellectual property !

very powereful

HORSHAM, Pa. (Dow Jones)--General Instrument Corp. (GIC, news, msgs) invested $5 million in ACTV Inc.'s (IATV, news, msgs) Digital ADCO Inc. unit for a 49% stake.

In a press release Friday, the companies said ACTV will manage the unit and hold the remaining stock.

Digital ADCO will use General Instrument's digital interactive platform and ACTV's television and advertising software to provide advertising through digital television.

The unit plans to implement the service in the second half of 2000 and to generate revenue from the sale of equipment, software licensing, technical support, system upgrades and encoding services.

Digital ADCO is in discussions with SeaChange International Inc. (SEAC, news, msgs) and SkyConnect's nCube to enable cable operators to deliver interactive television advertisements locally.

Quote of the year.
"Working with industry leaders, such as SeaChange and nCUBE, we expect to be the leading end-to-end solution for advertising in a digital TV environment."

Don't forget this partnership is with Motorola.

I expect Bloomberg to pick this up.
