Don,

I think what Gary and the others disagree about is not COMS's value today, but its value post-PALM. While I agree that it is an excellent value play right now, I have to agree with Gary in being skeptical about the stock value once the dust from the IPO settles down and all distributions are made. It has been ~3 years since PALM was introduced, but what other wiz-bang product have they brought to the market since?

Value is a relative term. COMS is trading at a little less than 3 times revenues... in a market where all other networkers are trading at 10 or 20 times. I believe COMS is worth more - even though they are terribly managed. I believe this mainly because PALM is the ace in the hole. I would however not hold this opinion if COMS was going it alone and not spinning off PALM. So, no, the other points we are discussing are not captured in the valuation question. The underlying issue is what is COMS after the PALM spin-off.
