Wally: Good numbers and a euphoric response. The last time this happened with respect to this data, we had a nice powerful opening but faded after 10:00 am. Why? Well, Brinker said said we faded because of the CIBCR report. Funny how virtually nobody in the media reports that data. Elaine G. was on the tube a few days ago and was troubled by this report as well as other things including the excessive optimisim in the market. She said the Fed. will continue to raise rates if this report is not on the decline. If this report is market friendly, I expect we may get past SPY 143 today. If the report is unfavorable, it will be interesting to see if we bounce off the SPY 143 ceiling once more.
