TigerPaw-Thanks for the correction. JDSU is my second largest holding, and I plan to hold onto it for many, many years. As Downsouth put it awhile back, they are 50% larger than all their competitors combined, in an exlpoding industry. This is a keeper. I view these minor dips as an opportunity to increase my holding or to play a couple of options(I've done both)
For those of you who were waiting for a larger price decline to start a position, if you are indeed a LTB&H, I would suggest to bite the bullet, and at least take a partial position in this fine company. In the long haul, these few points are meaningless. On the otherhand, if you are waiting for a firesale, you may never get it, and you will be out of a stock that you want/should be in. Just my 2 cents.

Hold lightly makes it sound like you should dump the shares at the first hint of trouble.

TP, good point. You are correct. Hold lightly does not mean sell at the first sign of trouble. Realize that a Gorilla/King gamer does not buy stocks that he/she would sell at the first sign of trouble. you are looking for Gorillas and Kings.

The exception to the rule is if you are searching for a tornado that has not resulted in a Gorilla or a King. Then you buy a basketful of the top few contendors and consolidate the investment into a single King or Gorilla as it becomes evident who will emerge the victor. You dump each contender as you follow the developments that cause you to eliminate each from the list.
