Cisco will make people money long term. I couldn't disagree with you more on that point. As an investor I look for companies that are growing and are #1 in their markets.

When I finally took a long position in Cisco in 93 I reached the conclusion that I should buy the company as a long term hold after following the company since slightly before it went public. Shortly after it went public I "traded" the stock. After making a lot of $$ trading short term I finally woke up one morning and realized that I needed to go long because of Cisco's growth prospects and management.
The one thing that I've learned about investing the last 33 years is that the CEO is the most critical link in a companies history and future. Fortunately for us Cisco investors we have John Chambers. I know that in all the years that I've been investing that I've never seen a better CEO, one who motivates the troops and keeps the ship on a steady course.

The ship is steaming forward and building speed. All of us on the thread would like to see more people profit. The opportunity is here.

Eric

Is this long term enough to show Cisco's performance and just what this company is capable of?
