M&A OPEN+NTRX=NTRX Voice over the Internet VoIP marriage of hardware&software, imho merger name OPEN NETrix better than NX Networks, and OPEN is a better trading symbol also than NTRX. NTRX will be the surviving company, according to the Joint Proxy Statement/Prospectus and Notice of Special Meeting Of Stockholders To Be Held on December 22, 1999. See pages 42, 106, and 108. This is a 1 for 1 merger, but I still follow both NTRX and OPEN since the trading price does vary, as I am sure arbitragers are aware. The symbol OPEN will be delisted on NASDAQ and next year the combined merged company will trade simply as NTRX. I still think OPEN is better because of the "opensource" movement, Redhat (RHAT) LINUX, APACHE, JAVA (SUNW) and PERL and so on, imho.
