While CUBE's management was sitting on that CASH & picking their ASS again 1999...they could have bought 100,000 shares of DISH earlier this year and now have 400,000 shares to show for it. A $4M investment, small by when compared to them BMW's & R&D spending...would be worth $30M+ today.....LOSERS!!!

Now DISH is raising more money...

EchoStar Communications Corporation Announces an Increase in Its Convertible Notes Offering to $750 Million
LITTLETON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 1999--EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:DISH - news, DISHP - news) today announced that it increased its offering of Convertible Subordinated Notes to $750 million. The notes will bear interest at an annual rate of 4 7/8% and will be due January 1, 2007. The notes are convertible into shares of EchoStar Class A Common Stock at a conversion price of $90.88 per share. The net proceeds of the offering are expected to be used to fund subscriber acquisition costs, for capital expenditures in connection with the construction and launch of additional satellites or for other general corporate purposes (including potential acquisitions and debt service). The notes have not been registered under the Securities Act of 1933 and are being offered pursuant to Rule 144A thereunder. The notes may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration under such Act or an applicable exemption from registration requirements.
