New Subscriber customer dilvulged (Sharewave) . . . news to me too.

ShareWave has announced customer partnership agreements with Cisco, Kyushu Matsushita Electric (for products bearing the Panasonic brand name), and NETGEAR (a wholly owned subsidiary of Nortel Networks). ShareWave Digital Wireless will be sold to consumer product manufacturers who will embed this technology within their computing and consumer electronics devices. This ingredient technology approach allows ShareWave to target the rapidly evolving home networking market with a "multimedia-capable" and "user-friendly" networking solution which consumers can afford.

Jon is also very excited (finally) about broadband.

They also have signed 2 out of 3 Global Supply agreements.

Mentioned that we should look for backlog to be "SIGNIFICANTLY" higher than the 18.1MM at the end of last year.

Institutionals banging on the door (he said this) looking for blocks of shares.

More on Sharewave (you will want to read this):

What type of devices does ShareWave envision incorporating ShareWave technology?

ShareWave is primarily focused on providing technology for the following applications:

Multi-PC Networks - enable multiple desktop or notebook PCs in the home to share Internet access, share files, share printers and other peripherals, and support multi-player gaming applications;

Broadband modem extensions - enable DSL and cable modems to:

(a) share their broadband connection and services with multiple devices - both PC and non-PC throughout the home; and

(b) reside where the "fat pipe" enters the home rather than laying wiring to locate it next to a PC in another room;

Residential gateways - enable sharing of the broadband connection and services such as Internet access, Video-on-Demand, digital audio tracks, Home PBX, VoIP, and Personal Videoconferencing to all network devices in the home;

Broadband and mobile clients - enable a broad variety of non-PC clients, such as TVs, mobile pads, kitchen pads, enhanced PDAs, DVD players, cable/DBS boxes, to connect to the network.

When will the first ShareWave Digital Wireless product become available?

"We anticipate that home networking products based on ShareWave technology will be available in late 1999."
