Apparently at 1.47 on CNNfn in a call-in show - the gurus advised a caller who bought COMPAQ at œ24 to take profits at $26-27 because GTW IBM DELL were faster moving stocks in the sector and COMPAQ was stuck because it had "bitten off more than it could chew" with the DEC acquisition. Could that account for the downturn - surely not!
