I've been thinking that smarter browsers are also needed. Netscape should know that when I turn on my computer I'm likely to log on to Silicon Investor and check my bookmarked threads. As I am reading the first reply, it should be downloading the other replies.

Would type of browser congest the net too much? Could the servers handle it? I know products such as Net Accelerator (that load every possible link on a page) received huge criticism for net congestion. But if my browser knows that I'm not going to click on the Datek add (because I never have before), it won't download that page.

If speed is perception, a smarter browser can make a large difference.

Jay
