The WebPc is still not your typcial batch processing. It shares the small number of configurations (I think only color is selectable), but the machines are still not built nor left on any loading docks until an order has been received from the end customer. Forecasting is much more limited.

You insist on applying the commercial business model to CPQ's consumer business. The problems you discuss have never been a problem for CPQ's consumer business, which has had a backlog since 1995 and has never stuffed the channel.
