I got a few good chuckles today reading over the 1998 Annual report put out in April this year. Compare these quotes with the recent party line propaganda that everything is going 'as planned'. "Production models of our user terminals, manufactured by three leading hardware companies will soon be available.140,000 phones will be distributed by December 31. As many as 16 gateways will be installed and operating by that time." page 17 "..to begin commercial service, we need to successfully orbit only an additional 16 satellites of the remaining 36 scheduled to be launched before year end" page 19 "THIRD QUARTER 1999 Establish minimum constellation (32 satellites)Begin delivery of 300,000 handsets.
