Pala,

Eric I'm getting really confused here, how can earnings for a Y2K quarter be hyped as an accomplished fact. I would not be comfortable making investment decisions based on ANY information from The Street.com or CNBS for that matter.

Does the above 1Q 2000 crystal ball include TVGIA?

If not what does it include? We don't know. Which is my entire point.

I'm guessing the article is referring to fiscal year 2000's 1st quarter. Not sure though, but it would make sense.

GMST's fiscal year does not coincide with the calendar year. GMST's fiscal year 2000 will end in March 2000. Therefore, they've already booked the first two quarters of FY 2000. Dec 31 will conclude their 3Q 2000. Even a little bit of research on your part would have revealed this fact. Therefore, this is not hype or a projection. It's a reported fact of their performance to date.

I didn't make my investment decision based on information from The Street.com. However, since investing I'm continuing my dd and trying to track results as best I can. The problem is, GMST does not report revenue by product type. In the 10K, they did break out ad revenue, but they didn't differentiate licencing revenue from VCR+ and Guide+ - they just lump them together. And in their quarterly reports they don't break any of it out. The TSC report on ad revenue of $400k is the best I can find of how they're doing this FY. I agree it's not the best and I'd rather have it first hand from the company. But in the meantime it's the best information I have.

As mentioned above, the report of $400k of ad revenue isn't a projection. It's a reported fact from TSC on the company's advertising revenue from one quarter. It doesn't include TVGIA since the buyout won't be complete for several months. You haven't made a valid point yet, other than perhaps to question the reliability of TSC's reporting skills. You can choose to ignore this report and it still doesn't invalidate the rest of this and my prior post.

I agree it may be awhile before GMST can be confirmed as a gorilla. That's why I'm trying to track their progress. You also may be right that they're fully valued, but your arguments won't carry much weight with me until you show you know something about the company.
