Terra Networks, S.A. provides Internet access and local-language interactive content and services to Spanish and Portuguese-speaking residential and small office/home office customers in Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile and Guatemala. For the six months ended 6/30/99, total revenues rose 83% to EUR8.4 million. Net loss totalled EUR15.3 million, up from EUR1.1 million. Results reflect an increase in the number of subscribers, offset by increased communications expenses.
