The man has a definite spring in his step and has an air of confidence and self-satisfaction about him. I now feel more confident about the welfare of my JDSU shares in the future. It's also worth noting that part of his purchases were some "green" bananas...do you think this signals a propensity to favour all things in the long term?

Boog, More reasons to be bullish---in my humble opinion. If i saw Mr. Straus shopping and it seems as if he is walking on air, i would get more comfortable about my JDSU holdings. When people are very happy, it is difficult to contain themselves. I saw the CEO KK's interview a few days ago on CNBC and detected the overjoyed reaction mixed in with the answers to the questions that were put to him. It would be like the feeling of doing an interview a few minutes after winning a billion dollars.

Sometimes you have to look beyond the numbers or the charts to get a feel for where the stock is going. (I know the TAs will disagree).

I have made big returns in call options recently on this company and feel this will continue with my shares (still holding some call options).

We bounced back so fast from the 220s and we are now approaching a stock split run up period. I did not think the stock would recover as fast as it did and thought the bigger gains were a couple of weeks away. Like i stated before, 300 seems like an easy target by year end or as late as the first week of January----i think that i am being conversative in my target price.

thanks for the story and good luck with your holdings.

gorilla.

No... maybe he is hoping for a hungry gorilla to emerge soon.
