Going to the S&P is not material to the fundamentals of the business, but it would surely give us even more juice, wouldn't it?

We all witnessed what happened to AOL, YHOO, CTXS after their admissions to S&P. Remember that Vanguard index fund alone is $100B.

Hope it happens sooner than later.

Picked up the weekend edition of Financial Times - wanted to read about the E. Safra murder since I use to work at one of his banks in Geneva - and was surprised to see a small blurb about CMGI. It was about portals and AV basically saying that we expect to IPO AV with a market cap of $5 billion which ain't too shabby since we only paid $2+ billion (plus improvements and advertising) less than 6 months ago.

Article went on to say that based on page hits AV is only worth about $1.7 billion when compared to Lycos, but $15 billion when compared to Yahoo. (Either Lycos is undervalued or Yahoo is overvalued!) Conclusion from article: Once we IPO a merger with Lycos makes wonderful sense and we should have the capital to do it.
