Hello Samuel, Richard & all - for discussion purposes, since I have no vested interest in Morningstar, Yahoo! or Tyco, let's use Yahoo! Noticed that Yahoo! isn't even consistent with itself

The point is this, regardless of the agenda and the track record of the writer, I don't think "their numbers ALL messed up." Rather, from what raw data do they [Yahoo! quote, Yahoo! profile and Morningstar quicktake] use to derive the numbers. Diluted? TTM? YTD? Pro forma? Included some charges? Excluded some charges?

Remember, while everyone [company and outside auditors] stand by the accounting practice, TYC books are not the easiest one to interpret.
