GraphOn's GO-Global to Deploy Ericsson's Standard Office Environment to Ericsson Employees Worldwide December 6, 1999 09:02 AM CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 1999--
Thin, server-based software to enable real-time computing, telecommuting solution for Ericsson's 100,000 workers from anywhere, over any connection
GraphOn Corporation GOJO (www.graphon.com) today announced that Ericsson (www.ericsson.se) has certified GraphOn's GO-Global software (soon to become part of GraphOn's Bridges product) for integration into its Standard Office Environment (ESOE), providing a real-time computing and telecommuting solution for Ericsson employees worldwide.
Using GO-Global, or Bridges, within Ericsson's tested and approved hardware and software environment will allow internal access of business-critical applications from any location in the world over the Internet or a dial-up connection from Windows PCs. The company can now centralize the management of server-based applications and deploy them unchanged.
GraphOn's Bridges is thin, server-based software that connects any UNIX, Linux or Windows applications to any display device over any connection, without reducing performance or functionality. GO-Global, soon to become the UNIXBridge component of Bridges, provides a fast and reliable way for ESOE users and Ericsson employees to access applications over any connection, such as the Internet or dialup.
"GraphOn's thin, server-based software is ideal for the larger enterprise with a global presence, such as Ericsson," said Robin Ford, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of GraphOn Corp. "GO-Global, or Bridges, allows Ericsson to centralize control of its applications, alleviating office-by-office and desktop-by-desktop installation worries and guarantees that any authorized Ericsson employee can access the latest company software from anywhere," said Ford.
