Possibly OT but worth reading. Lawrence Kudlow's editorial on Fed action to increase liquidity in advance of 1/1/00.

That's Kyocera, Kyoto Ceramic. They are a very aggressive and
capable Japanese company. They took over the market for ceramic
chip packaging by offering free development of custom packages,
but, then you were locked in to their manufacturing. They are
currently producing a 69 gm CDMAone phone with 150 minutes talk
and 150 hours standby.

It is heartbreaking to see that they will be wasting their talent
building those soon to be orphaned Nextel phones. Hey, Kyocera
RF engineering is now rare and valuable, spend it on CDMA phones.
Don't let Samsung beat you in the US market.
