When I was in college at Northwestern my roommate was from Cleveland. One Thursday night we were sitting around, bored, and trying to think of something to do. Finally he said, "I'm going to Cleveland", I said fine, I'll come too. This other friend who lived in Chicago said he was coming, too, so at midnight we took about 5 minutes to pack up some stuff and headed out on the highway. After about 10 minutes the Chicago native said "OK, haven't we carried this joke far enough?", we both laughed and said "What joke?" The next morning he had to call home and explain why he wasn't there, and tell them he was in Cleveland. Their answer was "Why?". Actually we had a good time, and the lake didn't catch on fire (though I have heard that it does catch on fire now and then). Carl
